Lake Information:
Sebago Lake State Park is known to be one of the premier parks in New England based on one of the cleanest lakes.
Here are some activities and fun facts about the area:
- Deepest part of the lake at 316' and 2nd largest lake in Maine at 14 miles long (45.6 sq miles)
- Clarity of the water is so good that the bottom of the lake can be seen at depths up to 45'
- Sebago Lake supplies Portland county (20% of Maine population) with drinking water
- 9 Natural sand beaches
- Fishing (28 species of fish, fishing pole and license required)
- Boating, Kayaking, Hiking, Mountain biking
- Fruit picking (we have a path of blueberry bushes with prime picking late July-August)
- Two state park beaches with a children's playground
- Bird watching (including Bald Eagles & Gray Heron)
